Grafitti.

Felony.

Los Angeles.

Define grafitti:

Prettttttty fucking broad, like brianna’s old assketball. Prior to her celebrity diet, or something, all hearsay. She loves pie. name drop that! ha!

Sooo today I wondered around within blocks of my house with a camera of unknown origins and took photos of my favorite graffiti.

*edit*

If I had seen this when I was walking way earlier I would of figured out this “mystery” that had me guessing.

looks to be a indie hiphop project. throwback nostalgia 80s style.

These guys has been wheatpasting for a minute, like since I got out here. There used to be a rabbitman doing a shadow puppet rabbit on the 101 S offramp on Gower St. There is another one over on Sunset and Highland or close to there. I would of taken a photo of that but I was on foot and thats a walk.

slight social commentary
9/11 and such
a bit political
the oil being money etc
obviously 80s
powerglove and masters of the universe and an old commodore or apple or something.
The wheatpaste rabbitman wheatpasting is cute though. Very ‘this is not a pipe‘ if you know what I mean. The shadow puppet rabbit is the same cuteness.
Then underneath the 101 on Argyle is this

people ask me

why do you have

a rabbit head

with a dude’s body

i ask them…why do

you have a dude’s

body with a jerk’s

head? – KITO

I want to do some additive to it, maybe a simple hello my name is jerk sticker or something.

If anyone has any more locations of this rabbitman wheatpaste, let me know. I want to see more.

I found these today, both under the 101 on franklyn before cahuenga.

and the final clue. I pasted together the .com and checked it out.

theres also a myspace.

I want to talk turkey with these guys. I am impressed.

Speaking of turkey, this is a stencil that’s on Gower by the 101 N off ramp

I took photos on myspace with it. Called geeks under the 101 because thats what geeks do haha I really like this stencil. It might be social commentary again, as though

we are all running around like headless chickens.

but it cracks me up. I love it alot.

Then over in the land of the pretentious is

which is just an amazing stencil. The detail is amazing. I assume it used to be 2 color or more because of the red accents. Mr. Brainwash I do believe. He has an art show this whole month down on Sunset in the old CBS building. Big plans on hitting it up next week. I don’t really care for ironic pop art, but I respect his work alot.

I tried to make some stencil the other day. Horrid horrid horrid.  I need lessons in stencil work.

    This shit is bad ass.

The quote about heads and bodies I think is just a bad Donnie Darko spinoff.

I dig the rabbit. Kyle would be all about the chicken. Where are the heads we were promissed etc. Anyway.

    Good show.

  8. yeah the rabbit guy did another of those graphic/word things I saw on their website. I see the mac now. I played oregon trail on a similar apple IIe in gradeschool haha
